If you decide to cancel your membership in person, you will need to visit your home gym during staffed hours. Be sure to bring a photo ID, as this will be required to cancel your membership. 1. First, try putting your membership on hold. This can be done easily online or at your local gym. Doing this will allow you to keep your membership active, but pauses your payments until you’re ready to start using the gym again.
2. If you need to cancel your membership for any reason, make sure you do so within the first 30 days of signing up. This will allow you to get a full refund of your joining fee.
3. If it’s been more than 30 days since you joined, you can still cancel- but you’ll be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
4. Finally, keep in mind that if you cancel your membership- you won’t be able to reactivate it for at least 6 months. So if you think you might want to use the gym again in the future, it’s better to put your membership on hold instead of cancelling it entirely.
